world aids day latest news

100 percent preventable disease.

On this World AIDS Day, the success we have achieved to date provides powerful motivation to push on to an AIDS-free generation. Together, let's seize this moment.

World AIDS Day is a reminder that testing saves lives, plain and simple ... The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), along with the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force recommend that everyone between the ages of 15 and 64 should know their HIV status, and one of the easiest ways to accomplish this is to test in the complete privacy of your home.

I believe that fashion, as with many forms of art, can serve as a great conversation starter ... I was inspired by the people I've met through the I Design campaign and a mural created by the HIV Community, and artistically wanted the dress pattern to be abstract to symbolize how every person is different. I hope this dress created for World AIDS Day can be used to further remind people living with HIV about the importance of having meaningful discussions with their doctors

World AIDS Day was designed and developed in order to make sure that we are focusing in on the need to ... create more awareness of this 100 percent preventable disease.
